The Last Of Us Season 2 Launch

OVERVIEW

To celebrate the launch of The Last of Us Season II, the Brooklyn’s iconic Domino Sugar Factory was transformed into a haunting, post-apocalyptic world inspired by the series. In collaboration with Superbien, we designed an immersive projection mapping experience that illuminated the Domino Refinery’s façade with the ominous spread of the Cordyceps fungus and striking scenes from the show.

The installation plays with perpetual motion, transforming gravity into a hypnotic visual dance. Each captive sphere becomes a note in a dynamic score, where bounces and oscillations compose a poetry in movement.

Kinetic Poetry

Digital Mosaic

The digital mural unfolds across 35 screens, assembled to form a modern mosaic. Between these panels, LED tubes punctuate the composition with luminous pulses, creating a link between pixels and light.

Kinetic elements interact in a dynamic play of light, textures, and color across the installation. The vibrant hues emphasize the movement and physicality of the spheres, creating layers of visual depth and energy.

Spatial Audio

With four distinct audio channels, the installation offers an immersive sound experience where every sound finds its place in space. The main challenge was to reproduce the subtle noises of the moving spheres without creating cacophony, while integrating a meditative soundscape that envelops the listener.
