Compte à Rebonds

OVERVIEW

Conte à Rebonds is a luminous, colorful, and energetic installation presented at Montreal’s Place des Arts. Blending modern hieroglyphs with a playful laboratory spirit, the work invites visitors to explore a universe where gravity itself becomes a playground. Captive spheres seem to whisper stories, ready to break free at any moment… All you have to do is listen closely and follow their dance.

The installation plays with perpetual motion, transforming gravity into a hypnotic visual dance. Each captive sphere becomes a note in a dynamic score, where bounces and oscillations compose a poetry in movement.

Kinetic Poetry

Digital Mosaic

The digital mural unfolds across 35 screens, assembled to form a modern mosaic. Between these panels, LED tubes punctuate the composition with luminous pulses, creating a link between pixels and light.

Kinetic elements interact in a dynamic play of light, textures, and color across the installation. The vibrant hues emphasize the movement and physicality of the spheres, creating layers of visual depth and energy.

Spatial Audio

With four distinct audio channels, the installation offers an immersive sound experience where every sound finds its place in space. The main challenge was to reproduce the subtle noises of the moving spheres without creating cacophony, while integrating a meditative soundscape that envelops the listener.
